I used these in a grocery bag that I made to have hard, foldable sides and bottom to keep it open when I was ready to use it. Material 0.038" to 0.039", not quite 0.040" as advertised, but the difference is irrelevant. For comparison, a sheet of notebook paper is 0.003" thick. It's very flexible, yet stiff enough to do an excellent job. It cuts easily.I have foil on both sides that needs to be removed if you want to use it as a blank sheet, it's crystal clear.
