Review on Soundbar Sony HT-CT390 by Adam Wiedemann ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

I have been using it for more than five months: I bought it based on reviews and ratings. Immediately after the purchase, I was disappointed with the sound. It seemed even quiet somehow. The sub is almost inaudible. But after a while, the system seemed to work in and the sound began to be liked. Maybe my sub is in the wrong place, I don't know. I listen in a room of 20 sq. In general: if you listen at a quiet and slightly below average volume, then the subwoofer is not very audible, but it is still there. Turning it to 0 changes the sound dramatically. I listen at the maximum - 12. But I would like 15-16. And I think then it would be ideal at medium volume. Why the manufacturer did not make an adjustment beyond +12 is a mystery. After all, when you add the overall volume, everything plays and hammers in its full glory. I don't notice the warnings. BUT! Before buying, I listened to the Yamaha YAS-203 and the sub played even quieter. Now I have already come to the conclusion that all sounders up to 30,000 on medium bass do not give out strong. (bass does not penetrate you at all, but you can listen). Big minus switching sources. This is done with one button. Those. you have to go through the whole cycle of sources. And when you turn on the bluetooth, you go through usb - and the TV switches to another output. (connection via hdmi arc). And the main failure is that when you turn the TV back on, the soundbar does not automatically activate this output. On the telly every time you have to manually switch back. The USB interface is just disgusting. You can hardly listen to music ONLY. Can't even see the video. If you want video - only flash drives to the TV. In general, for their own (17600 on 10202222) a very good purchase. The difference compared to TV speakers is very noticeable! I recommend buying!

Pros
  • The connection between the soundbar and the subwoofer was interrupted 2 times in 5 months. Plug in the plug and all is well. Ease of use.
Cons
  • Weak subwoofer sound at low and slightly below average volume. Bad USB interface
