This is SHARP glass! I really like this lens. That's only about a third the price of the Canon 100-400 MkII, but it's only 1/3 a light stop slower. But much sharper and lighter than Canon. I use this often with a Canon 2x Mkiii teleconverter with no problems. I love that it can be programmed via the Sigma dock to better suit your shooting style. On the other hand only 2 things. In low light, focusing can be quite slow. Focus on the peak, focus that way. Another reason is the lack of an official tripod collar. I have one from ishoot that works great. https://smile.amazon.com/iShoot-Support-100-400mm-Contemporary-ARCA-Swiss/dp/B085M8QVGL/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=ishoot+sigma+100-400+collar&qid=1613159952&sr=8- 1-spons&psc=1&smid=A1J7OB0CIMVRFW&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyTTZIUkQyN045UDE4JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjAxNDg5WUhBSUdYSE5VSVk2JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTEwMjM2NjYxQVE0M0NOMktXSVNWJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==I simply lined the inside of the collar with gaffer's tape to prevent any scratches.Overall.this is a must own lens if you need anything longer than 200mm. For the price and quality you won't find anything better. :)
