Nothing to say! I received the device in time to use it on a rotisserie chicken. I opened the box, read the instructions, fairly brief but sufficient with some experience. The battery was in the box and one in the packaging. All I had to do was take out the probe, wash it, stick it in the chicken, and almost immediately I read the temperature in Fahrenheit. What more can I say, it works out of the box. I was also able to check the temperature of a wood pellet grill simply by inserting a probe into the hole on the side of the lid, and the temperature of the hot steel grill the chicken was resting on. I later used it to take my body temperature by placing it under my tongue. It wasn't the recommended usage, and it might not have been REALLY accurate for the human body, but fast and clean, it was VERY close if not right. I do not recommend this use of the device. I cleaned thoroughly before and after. I wanted to get the device calibration readings. I will be using this many times in the future for an instant reading of the grill temp.
