I bought this to better support my son and give him more confidence to walk alone. He HATES those shoes, but they work. This makes his steps more secure when his feet are properly on the ground. Although he complains when I put them on, they do the job. What I didn't like was that the shoes looked like they had been worn before as they were slightly dirty. I could return it but I just brushed them to my liking. That's why I deducted 1 star. While it might not be the trendiest style, sometimes it's best to go classic.
