Review on ๐Ÿพ Stylish and Functional Wooden Pet Crate: Casual Home Medium Size End Table, Espresso Finish by Amber Harper

Revainrating 3 out of 5

My comments may help you decide

It amazes me how many people can give this a one star rating and so many others five stars. This drawer has its drawbacks and is not a $600 solid wood drawer. But for this money it is nicer and more aesthetic than metal cages. If your dog isn't crate trained or absolutely doesn't want to be in a crate, he'll chew his way out. It took me about an hour to assemble. After putting it together I didn't force my 14 pound dachshund inside, I 'introduced' her to her new home and left the door open for the first week to come and go as she pleased. That made it more attractive so she wouldn't scratch or chew her way out. Some of the holes didn't line up when reassembling, so I used an awl to make a new hole. The deadbolt on the lock didn't fit so I took a rubber washer, cut it to size and put it under the existing washer at the bottom of the door hinge and all is good. The feet at the bottom of the drawer can be screwed in or out to level the drawer. If the lock on the door doesn't match the hole, this could be one of the reasons. Remember folks, this is made on machines in a third world country, not by hand. If you want a higher quality wooden box that fits easily, expect to pay $800-$1,000 if you don't know a carpenter willing to build one for you.
