Great little drive vs Samsung T5

As I travel the world all the time, the size and weight of the things I carry are very important. I already have several small Samsung T5 drives but they are all 512GB. To support backup on the new 1TB 16-inch MacBook Pro, I needed a larger drive. Other reviews I read got me interested in this little disc of Sabrent. I found the Samsung T5 small. This Sabrent is half the width and a few millimeters shorter and just 1mm taller. The metal case is very durable and tolerates temperatures well. I thought the drive is so small it might be a bit warmer than the Samsung it actually runs cooler and barely gets above room temperature even for long recording times. I haven't tested the advertised speed of the drive, but I can tell you that it runs a Windows 10 image through Parallels on my Mac as if it were installed on an internal drive. No lag Identical to Samsung T5 in this regard. I haven't had this drive long enough to make any reliability claims, but I'll update my review with this information in a few months. My drives are T5, I can say I found my new favorite hard drive d River.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
