Bought trying to convert some old cassettes to mp3 format. Nuuuuu. So, GOOD - the radio part is up. I received channels I didn't know existed. Much better than any modern radio on the market including high quality car radios or home theater systems. Both FM and AM are excellent. Unfortunately, it all ends here. The tapes work well but the sound quality is not very good. It's a small plastic case with small speakers, and if you're happy with high (no bass) midrange, it works. You have no fine-tuning of the sound quality. Additionally, when converting tapes to MP3 format, the end product is a MONO WAV file. There is no way to switch to stereo output. A WAV file can be converted to MP#, so it's not the main thing, it's a MONO file. So it defeats the purpose. Other than that, both USB and SD cards work fine, but due to the small size of the device, you won't be able to hear if you have a stereo output. I think you're better off investing in one of these portable Bluetooth speakers.
