This medium weight coat is suitable for dogs in Southern California where they are more likely to be exposed to light fog/rain than actual rain. Outside just a nylon cover, if on the street near the bushes of trees or branches, then such a raincoat will last a week. It has poor assembly design. If your dog is under the age of 14 and stays put no matter what you do, it will take you 15 minutes to worry about walking them around the dog. It would be better if there was velcro to hold the zipper line when you try to close it. What is that; Sheath on a nylon, cotton lining. It is not so; warm, durable or waterproof.
