Seatpost clamp for top tube cable routing only

Strong tool through At first I was surprised to find that the vertical tube that connects the clamp to the base is made of high density plastic. It looks like a high voltage point that should use metal. However, Pak knows what he's doing, so the plastic bug most likely won't occur, and the plastic allows for smoother rotation along the pivot axis. My problem is that the jaws are not clamped parallel; they stand at an angle. This means that the strain relief "moves" in the clamps, depending on how thick your top tube is. In my case this will never work on my MTB as I have three cables running up the top of my top tube. This clip works best if you have internal cable routing or no top cable routing. If you have a routed top tube you will need to push against the seatpost. The problem is that the seatpost mount puts a lot of pressure on the seatpost when you want to ride the bike in a perfectly level position.
