Review on πŸ”Œ Weatherproof Receptacle Protector - TayMac MM410C variant by Chris Cruz

Works as expected on socket covers

I needed an outlet behind my sliding patio door to facilitate plugging in my smoker and fan that I keep on the patio overlooking the living room and ran an extension cord through the sliding door which kept my screen door from closing fully always flies to a hit. With so many options for external outlet covers, I chose these based on the reviews, ease of installation, and affordability. I'm not an electrician and I'm just renting this house, but I wanted to do it right. It was easy to install, but I had to take it off a few times to fix the wiring. The weather protection seems adequate but could be better in my opinion, but for the price it's ok. If I had to do it all over again I would buy a box to plug the cable in and close the lid. That this is of course always wide open when something is connected to the lid. Maybe I'll just get one in the future. Overall, this waterproof case works well.
