I bought this because I felt the stitching on my plastic comb was hurting my hair. For reference, I have long, straight, and very fine hair. Luckily it doesn't get very tangled and it's the only thing I've combed it with in months. I noticed a significant reduction in the flyaways and split ends I used to have, but I also made some other changes around the same time, like using a wooden hair fork instead of rubber bands/plastic clips, and started using shea butter and avocado . Oil as a finishing touch, so that might be part of it. This comb still smells like sandalwood and is a joy to use. I can say it will last a long time.
