While these wheel locks don't make it impossible for a thief to remove the wheels, they do at least create a strong deterrent to theft and offer some peace of mind. We received a new 2021 Ford Explorer and were the victims of a wheel theft a few days later (all 4). So I definitely recommend installing them on your new car so as not to become an easy target. What I really like about the Gorilla Guard brand is that it's not as common as the McGard brand, which can be an added deterrent. In addition, this branch looks very nice and is not so noticeable. The only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't clear how to find the right size for my car. I had to buy two different sizes to find out that the 14mm x 1.5 fits perfectly, although Revane said it "doesn't fit your Ford Explorer".
