I bought this printer because the ink is cheaper than HP or Lexmark. I took great care of it, used it minimally and when it came time to move I put it back in the box so it was well protected. For some reason an error message popped up over a year ago and there was no way to fix it. I checked the manual and couldn't find a solution. I couldn't find a solution on the internet. I was and still am very frustrated that the printer just won't work for reasons unknown. I didn't buy a new one because I wish it would work, it looks brand new! Needless to say I was disappointed with this product because there is nowhere to fix this problem. Canon and most printer manufacturers want the consumer to buy a new product, not help them fix an existing product. longer. It's like they force their printers to turn off after a certain amount of time. My printer was in great condition and suddenly stopped printing after 2 years of minimal use. Last Canon printer I will buy as long as I can avoid it.
