The velcro broke after a month of brief use.
My 9 year old son has used them very little in the last month (it's summer now so he mostly wears flip flops and water shoes) and can't close them because the velcro is so worn out. He really liked the look of them and they were quite comfortable, but he hasn't outgrown them and we have to buy new shoes again.
