Review on Cardone 43 4318 Remanufactured Wiper Motor by Matthew Sytniak

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Before removing the old motor, check the quality of the new one.

I ordered this motor from Revain for my 2002 Maxima. It arrived double boxed like most Revain purchases. I didn't notice it at first, but there was a hole in the manufacturer's packaging right where the built-in mounting screw was. I gave it to a mechanic and when he tried to fit it to the Maxima he couldn't because the screw threads were damaged. In fact, upon closer inspection, they were slightly deformed. You couldn't install it. I concluded that someone dropped the box and it landed "bolt first" and warped the threads. Aesthetically, this engine was very clean for a remanufactured part and was the perfect size for a genuine Nissan part. The mechanic told me the electronics worked fine, but because the bolt was deformed they couldn't put a nut on it to install it. He also said it would be easy to install, but the threads made it impossible. Revain was great and will send me a replacement. I am ordering 100 items through Revain and just had no luck with this one. I recommend the manufacturer to pack the motor a little more securely. There was no inner insulation in the manufacturer's packaging.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
