I had high hopes for this glass paired with 18-35. Why not 35-70, for example, and then something else like 70-135? It would have turned out to be a complete trio in focal lengths. And so there was a hole between 35 and 50 on the crop. Stab. I really wanted a stub, especially since Sigma learned how to make it pretty well. An increase in weight and dimensions would be acceptable. But with all of the above or without something one could put up with if the lens had a really outstanding pattern and there would be no such zooming when focusing. It's just very sharp with very little grip. I won’t say that the drawing is ugly, it’s just spineless, unremarkable, sometimes harsh, but it didn’t go out. But all this is subjective. But what is objective: zooming when refocusing in the video. Looks like nothing at all. If 18-35 is just a masterpiece in this regard, then 50-100 frankly disappointed. There was an idea to cover the entire current range of focal lengths with this cropped Art series. I especially like the smooth operation of the motors in combination with the dual pixel from Kenon. Sometimes it looks really very cool, as if a professional focus puller worked. On some cameras, this focusing speed can also be adjusted. That is, the lens is sharp, fast, of high quality. Strictly for photography with very stable arms and even breathing. I also wanted "pedigreed" "noble" behavior in the video. Because 18-35 has become a workhorse. But it did not grow together with 50-100 .
