Swapped for my 2016 Altima. Bought used with 43,000 miles, looked up service info and never changed CVT fluid, now driven 59,770 and changed. Although I found a YouTube video on how to do it "the Nissan way", I managed to follow it and it worked. The oil was black-black and shook violently when the brake lights were activated. Replaced the caliper guide bolts, nothing. I changed the fluid in the variator, everything worked. It drives TOO smooth, hitting 60-80 mph on the freeway, is that good? Beat doesn't seem to feel it. It is better to install a separate transmission cooler, since the normal one heats up very quickly.
