Review on πŸ§₯ Marmot Women's Chelsea Down Rain Coat - 700 Fill Power, Waterproof by Daryl Fitch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I have found my perfect coat!

Received today in the middle of a snowstorm. How good it is in the cold and wet I can't say as I don't feel like going outside at the moment. What I can say is that the fit is amazing and is very flattering on my figure. I'm 5ft and 100lbs and the XS in black fits me very well and leaves some room around my waist. Since I'm small, it's always difficult for me to find clothes that fit. This one is perfect. The waist is where it should be. Unlike the picture, the coat goes just above the knees. The sleeves are a bit long and fall to the ankles. When I make a fist, my hands disappear into my sleeves, which doesn't really bother me. The material looks like it is not afraid of moisture. The inside of the jacket is sewn in small squares to keep the fluff in place. I was looking for a sleek coat that flatters me and doesn't make me look like a blanket. I have a miniature Eddie Bauer. Although it fits well, it looks plump. It says it's waterproof, but the material doesn't look like it, and the wet snow sure melts and swallows through. I'm also trying Arc'teryx but it's too long and doesn't fit as well. I tried a pair of North Face and I don't like them at all because they make me look like a bear. The Canada Goose XS is too tight around my waist and uncomfortable and the sleeves are too long. If I paid around $1,000 for a coat, it would fit more than perfectly. SO Chelsea it! Updated when not working in frost or snow. And now I need to replace that faux trim.
