Good quality, very warm, with a soft sole. I bought two pairs as gifts for a couple of year-round hikers. They never spend more than twenty dollars on a pair of socks. But you can only wear one pair at a time, so why not choose the good ones? They are very warm, comfortable and fit well. (If you're not sure, it's best to go up a size.) Since there are two different color options, you'll know which is his and which is hers. And apparently they make great indoor winter socks too, so your feet don't get cold!
