Drives great. fluctuations.

The electronic tracking on this thing is fantastic. He followed me around the room no matter what I was wearing or what I was looking at. It is very good. It's fast, but doesn't keep you in frame when you're only a few feet away and walking at your normal pace. However, he will catch up with you. Movements are quick and jerky. Don't expect smooth video panning from this body tracker. It's very robotic. There is no flow of movement at all. Compare an anti-aircraft gun to the sound of a violin. The camera mount consists of two cylinders with a small robotic motor between them. Unfortunately, there is a decent gap between the two cylinders - about 2mm. This introduces a decent amount of jiggling from the phone, which is mounted just above the motor. It's fine for the camera to follow you if you want to take a lot of photos and move around the room, but it definitely doesn't work for video. Unfortunately I think this is a technical issue as the stepper motor is the only supporting mechanism for the camera. There are no bearings or bushings other than a tiny motor, hence the sloppiness. It's easy to power with a small USB power bank, but I can't help but think the product would be better if it had a built-in power supply. A small battery to power this thing for about an hour would be ideal.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
