Defective tensioner
I bought this kit for my 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer because I trust the Gates belt, but the GMB tensioner that came with it was defective. So I bought another wrench at a local store so I could use my car for work the next day. I was lucky my mechanic didn't charge me extra to replace the tensioner again. I'm hoping the unnamed water pump that comes with the kit is still alive until the next timing belt change.
