Disappointing Water Pump for Automotive Engines

Based on my observations, this product is not worth the investment. The water pump did not deliver in terms of performance and quality. It was not compatible with my engine and caused additional problems. One pro is that it may work for other car models, but I cannot recommend this based on my experience. Overall, I regret purchasing this water pump and would not recommend it to other performance car owners.

High quality and reliable product

I have driven my Mitsubishi Lancer 10,000 miles since I bought it. There is nothing wrong, no leaks or other problems. I have been involved with cars both professionally and as a hobby for many years and Gates products have never let me down.

Defective tensioner

I bought this kit for my 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer because I trust the Gates belt, but the GMB tensioner that came with it was defective. So I bought another wrench at a local store so I could use my car for work the next day. I was lucky my mechanic didn't charge me extra to replace the tensioner again. I'm hoping the unnamed water pump that comes with the kit is still alive until the next timing belt change.
