Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Aqueon Adjustable Preset Heater by Christine Velasquez

Great value, take simple precautions

I bought two of these units to heat my reef aquarium. I don't have enough heater power, so if one of them fails, it won't overheat my system. I've consistently noticed over the past week that one runs a little more than the other which means the temperature calibration could be a BIT wrong as both tend to shut down at a few minute intervals. Overall, Aqueon heaters offer the best value for money. Of course, you can spend hundreds on higher rated heaters with 1/2 degree accuracy, but that's really not necessary. If you're concerned about browning your tank, there are a few things I would suggest. 1 powered by your heaters and use more than one. Second, use a controller like InkBird and set the heater point at 80 degrees so it's constantly powering the heaters. In case you have a constantly heating heater, InkBird will step in and turn the power on at the 80 degree point or whatever you set. I suggest 80 because InkBird has a 1 degree accuracy range and you don't want it constantly powering and turning off your heaters, and 80 degrees won't kill your fish, especially if you have two heaters and only one is in the situation acceleration for so long. they are malnourished. I suggest increasing your heaters to 75% of total capacity. For example if your system requires a 100W heater. Buy two 75W heaters instead. I hope this helps some people and have a nice day/evening.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • poorly thought out
