I bought my daughter a Macbook Pro for college as she was studying graphic design. Since Macs are so expensive and teenagers tend to be a bit sloppy, I figured it would be cheap insurance. My daughter also has a Speck Satin lid for her computer, so it was important that we find a lock that works for the 15.4" computer and lid combo. This lock works great. At first, but with practice, it becomes more of a habit than a problem. When practicing, be careful not to scratch the blocking port on the computer.
