Review on 🖥️ Silverstone Tek Aluminum Bay Converter for Slim Slot-Load Drive & 4X 2.5-Inch HDD/SSD Drives - FP58B Black by Adan Hudson

I gave this product 4 stars because it does what it is supposed to do. That would be 5 stars, but the design and layout of the mounting options are seriously flawed. Upon unboxing, I noticed that one of the screws holding the 2.5" mounting tray had snapped off, which was my first issue when using the item (not really a design flaw, but it was bloody annoying to get it out). After finally removing the screw and installing two Samsung 850 EVO and LG Internal Slot Load DVD RW SSDs, I encountered the following problem. The device was about 1.5 inches shorter than a 5.25 drive. Because the SSDs were mounted flat on the bottom of the device, it was nearly impossible to route SATA cables at right angles. If I reversed the SSD and used different mounting holes it would interfere with the installation DVD drive power cord and SATA cable To fix this I simply used some of the soft packaging foam that the DVD box came in to fix the Elevating SSDs higher until they are fairly tight and not moving. Overall I'm satisfied However if you plan on buying this, plan ahead. Get right angle SATA cables and/or make sure you don't mount them in the bottom 5.25 bay.
