Review on 👞 Men's NuFoot Booties – Best Folding and Flexible Footwear for Travel, Yoga, Indoor Use – Foldable and Portable Shoes, Slippers, Yoga Socks – Black (Large) by Marquez Hinshaw

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Mainly for indoor use but good for checking mail and taking out rubbish. Used for 2 years and still like new.

I paid a little under eleven fifty for it and am happy with it. Our disabled adult son lives with us and we have moved into a two story house. My son sometimes urinates in bed and urinates on the bedding and on himself. We needed a way to get him from his upstairs bedroom to the downstairs shower while also keeping our carpet clean - whatever might be on his feet or not. Slippers were the obvious answer, but most slippers shouldn't be washed often. So we bought these - 3 pairs so if one was in the wash they would still have a pair. The third pair was just a replacement until we found another solution to our problem because honestly we didn't think they would last that long! We have been using the same 3 pairs for 2 years and they show no signs of wear despite being washed frequently. We wash in cold water and air dry - they dry pretty quickly. They are flexible and easy to put on, even if you put them on someone else. I don't know if they breathe well or not as I haven't worn them myself. Once we brought our son downstairs he has to cross the wooden floor to get into our tiled bathroom. Even with his mobility issues, he didn't slip or fall when placing them on any of these surfaces. I also like that they aren't "flexible" like many slippers - again that can be dangerous for him (especially on the stairs) but they aren't. I don't know if anyone else is in our position but if you are then these slippers solved the problem for us in a safe way, they are washable and they lasted 2 years. For those wondering why we don't use incontinence products on our son at night, we do, but he takes them off - washable and disposable underpants. So since we can't prevent clutter, we took the next best step - we bought this product to keep the clutter from spreading. So while I'm tired of washing the sheets, at least I don't have to shampoo the carpets :-) For those considering them I'd call them booties, not traditional slippers - definitely not shoes. As long-lasting as they are in the wash, I see no reason not to wear them to take out the trash or check the mail. I am considering ordering a pair for this very reason. Without the "sole" I wouldn't wear them as shoes simply because there wouldn't be any real protection if you step on a broken piece of glass in a parking lot or step on a nail etc. They are probably slightly better protection than a sock, so for those of you going out barefoot or in socks I think that will do, but I wouldn't mow the yard in them :-) My son wears a 7 1/2 to 8 in men's shoes. We ordered the little nufoot and found them easy to put on without being messy or loose when he wears them. I wear 6 1/2 women's shoes and just tried on a pair of his nufoots (thin toes) and they fit great. Hope that helps.
