Review on πŸ’§ Efficient & Reliable Remco 55-AQUAJET ARV Aquajet RV Series Water Pump: Optimal Water Flow for Your RV by Noel Schmits

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This pump looks like an OEM RV pump on steroids!

Higher pressure/flow than traditional RV pumps. I like it better because it responds faster and smoother to flow/pressure changes due to the random opening and closing of the valves. You should be aware that it supports a much higher static pressure (65psi to 80-90psi) than most OEM pumps (45-55psi) so you need to make sure your plumbing is up to par and not leaking . One of the main things about their marketing that made me buy it was that they claimed it was a variable speed pump. I was hoping it would sound a lot smoother and make that familiar snoring sound, but it doesn't. it still makes the same sound - just with variable speed. It is not smooth and continuous. I agree. Slightly quieter and recovers faster when the faucet is on. If you want to reduce noise (on any domestic pump), use flexible umbilical hoses to and from the pump with a loop in series to prevent pump vibration from being transmitted to rigid plumbing in the RV. Also, place the pump on a soft cushioning material, such as fiberglass insulation or bubble wrap, to reduce floor vibration. just with a little less noise.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • not reliable
