Fits my t3i perfectly and doesn't affect the battery cover. Adds so many features that you can add other devices to your camera. I even noticed that I can now mount the camera on a tripod with the side bar at a 90 degree angle. I recommend using it on a tripod with a quick release plate, but it's not required. The cage makes the camera significantly heavier, which makes working by hand even more comfortable. The wooden handle is very nice. The side grip can loosen over time, but not to the point where your camera is compromised. Once you notice it's loosened up, simply re-tighten and it will last all day. This helps stabilize your handheld footage, unlike a gimbal or slider, but it helps a lot. I've added a top handle for even more gripping options. Makes your camera even better.
