Bought mainly for travel use when working on small parts on the go. I will reiterate two things mentioned in other reviews: 1> The 11x lens is too small to be useful. Either increase or remove. 2> The battery does not work when the compartment cover is on. The last problem is quite solvable as the reason is that the shank of the battery door is pushing the metal contact away from the battery. By lightly biting the contact or slightly bending it with pliers, the problem is easily and permanently solved. The wiring is designed to disable battery usage when the USB connector is plugged in. I will note that the base itself is solid and heavy enough to hold parts and a regular soldering iron without tipping over easily. I use this with batteries to add weight to the base, but even without them I feel it will do for most uses. One downside that I will note in addition to the above is that the arms of the handle are rigidly connected to the ends. Bars. There are a few hinges that give them some flexibility, but the base is attached to the end of the bar. Many racks like this have latches on the moving handlebars so they can be adjusted anywhere along the neck (much like the bar itself is held to the rack). Most of what I work on is small and only requires a handle I can easily get around, but if you're considering this for regular use on larger items, a different stand might be better for your use case.
