I found it very easy to fix my Kohler toilet with this kit. I'm not mechanical at all, and when I started noticing signs that my toilet wasn't sounding right, I did nothing but hope that somehow it would fix itself. Yes, I was seriously in denial. In the end it just didn't work anymore. I went online and entered dysfunctional characters. Voila! All kinds of self-help advice and demonstrations were offered. As a result, I ordered a complete canister valve kit. Removing and replacing the old canister wasn't difficult. It took me seven minutes. I am a widow and in my seventh decade. Hiring a plumber was out of the question. I consulted with two masters before solving the problem myself. One said I needed a new toilet (and he just had one for sale). Another said he could fix it but it would take a few hours and he would have to pay accordingly. Hence my online self-help solution. I ordered Kohler parts, followed directions, patted myself on the back, danced a little with happiness, and gave my now-working toilet an extra flush just because I could. I give the Kohler canister valve assembly 5 stars.
