This is the second Boston shaker I have ever used. I am a lover of home bars. The previous shaker consisted of a can and a mixing glass, which I bought so you can see the drink as you mix it. First of all I understand that a 2 steel can shaker is inherently much better - much better sealed and unlocked at once. With the jar and container combo, the seal isn't nearly as good as you can see when trying to shake egg whites dry. 2 steel cans like a stone! Tried to shake some warm water in it to get a smile and while the old shaker splashed everything this one stayed tight. Next specific brand: Pina. Very durable construction and finish. Both cans are weighted, and while I've read reviews that say an unweighted can offers the best seal, I've had no problems. The shaker feels solid in hand, locks easily, unlocks easily and looks very nice. Well done Pine! It's nice to see good craftsmanship and the results speak for themselves. If you are looking for a Boston shaker set I recommend it without the slightest hesitation.
