My wife was very reluctant to purchase the product due to conflicting reviews. After receiving the product, my wife tried it immediately and was satisfied. Her brushes were mixed, but most of them were elf brushes. We used detergent to soak and clean the brushes and they worked great. She had to dip her big fluffy brush in a few times because it didn't clean right away, but each time the brush got cleaner. My wife's only downside was that the flat angled brushes (which she had also read about in the review) didn't work so well and some of the brushes were too big for the extension, but she managed. Work. She is happy with the purchase.
