I recently got a new computer and the volume I could get out of my headphones wasn't impressive. I have 32ohm headphones and while it's not very much, the motherboard amp still can't deliver it. I needed more energy. It fills the bill. The best part might be the Sound Blaster Command software (free to download). It has a built-in equalizer that is very easy to use with tons of presets. Basically it was the cheapest DAC/amp I could find that allowed game volume and chat to be mixed. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I'd like to get MORE volume out of it. I may need her X3 or G6 and I will give this G3 to my daughter. Either way, it at least made music videos playable at a decent volume, so they worked as advertised.
