It's just a cable connecting the camera to the computer. It's orange and it works. The actual test will be in about a year. I expect it to last with normal care for the price. You can always buy cheap cable, but you get what you pay for. I would advise you to buy a jerk stop cable protector which will give a little protection to the end of the cable and the camera jack. Also the frustration of pulling the cable out of the camera.
