Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Razer Wolverine Tournament Edition Xbox One Controller: Remappable Buttons, Hair Trigger Mode - PC, Xbox Series X & S Compatible - Black by Andy Kucrud

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Buttons and joysticks fail after months, buttons are not reassigned. This controller is a scam.

EDIT: I posted a negative review straight after purchasing it, but now that I've had the controller for a few months I have to say something. The labeling of the A/B/X buttons is completely worn out after just a few months of use. The right stick drifts. The detachable part of the controller is loose and cannot be connected properly after power on (manually, not accidentally, so as not to damage the cable). I'll repeat that below, but you're much better off paying half the amount. price and any other controller in the $50 range. They still break, but not as quickly and not as hard on the wallet. First review follows: ------ Four extra buttons on this thing compared to a regular controller - do you know the main reason for buying this piece of junk? They do not appear as gamepad buttons. Also, they can only be reassigned to other gamepad buttons in the Razer software. This thing is useless. I've been using PC controllers for almost 20 years and have never seen a controller that does. Your setup software drops frames and it's literally a bunch of menus. Button tension on the face buttons is slightly different for each button, which is annoying. And it's a Razer product, so it's guaranteed to break after 3 years. Oddly enough, the buttons on the back are very slippery and are located right where I usually have most of my grip on the controller (middle fingers in the "armpits" of the controller). As a result, this thing always feels awkward and slippery in hand, and if it slips, the only way to regain grip is to accidentally press the new grip buttons. I just solved them in the settings program so that at least this design flaw doesn't interfere with the gameplay too much. For $120 you can buy 3-4 controllers from any quality third party. They have remappable buttons, work over a wired or wireless network, and work with your phone and Switch in addition to your PC. This controller appears to be primarily designed to give away streamers to entice 12-year-olds to buy.
