Smart girl! on doors, gates and ramps

Our 16 week old Cockapoo puppy is still not quite getting the hang of not peeing in the house. She is a very smart girl so I thought if she could learn how to use bells maybe it would help her. I started by undoing the latches and clipping them to a small hook on the wall by the door instead of on it. I didn't want them to call out every time we open the door, only when the dogs called out to them on purpose. I held the treat behind the bells and when my pup tried to get it the bells rang. I praised her, gave her a treat and then let her go outside and gave her another treat as she went to the potty. She noticed almost immediately! She rings when she needs to use the potty, that gets our attention and we let her go. No accidents since we hung them. I trust the dog more than the bells, my multipoo is dumb as a rock and didn't even notice them. Maybe the kid will teach him something new :) The quality of the bells and strap are top notch and they look great in my kitchen. They should have called them Tinklebells though! Missed opportunity there haha
