Review on Starvin' Skeleton Marionette by Crazy Bonez by Travis Karren

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice, but something is missing in the product development.

I was very happy that Starvin Marvin added to the Crazy Bonz line this year and was quick to pre-order two of these. We are loyal customers of the Crazy Bonz line - their products are of excellent quality and have a long shelf life. After a slight delay in delivery, we received it today. The packaging was easy to open, the zips keep it on the box. It is approximately 15 inches tall from head to toe. He's cute and my teenager started playing with him right away. Why rate? One had loose eyes that fell off within 5 minutes. It wouldn't be too much to stick them back on as they're just sticky googly eyes which seem to detract from the overall quality. I was also a little disappointed with how stiff his joints were and how difficult it was to move. This isn't your typical puppet where a small move results in a big move. I think his hands are white, a nod to the dolls that used to wear gloves, but it would be better if the hands were normal bone color. Also, he only has 10 front teeth, giving him a slightly horse-like face. One thing I didn't notice when ordering but quickly noticed upon opening is that the legs are not tied with strings. So the movement is really just done with the hands. Overall it's cute and would add to our skeleton collection, but I probably wouldn't have bought it for $13 had I known about those flaws.
