Let me be clear: I despise these headphones. The sound quality is excellent. Headphone bass that only a few sports headsets offer. They are also very easy on your ears. Be sure to fit the rubber mold into the creases and ridges of your ears and they won't give you any trouble fitting. From a functional point of view, however, they are useless. I've had expensive headphones that died after 3 months and it didn't annoy me as much as these everyday things do. The problem is the stupid cable between the headphones. Unlike the original SoundSport cable, which is smooth and slick, the Pulse cable has a tacky feel and clings to the skin. The end result is that the slack cable is pulled to one side (usually to the right as it supports the weight of the controller). Therefore pull the cable taut over the left side of the neck to the left ear. Turn around and look to the right and an earpiece will pop out. The cable is too sticky to slide on the skin! And forget about lifting weights or working out on mats. You'll rip those horrible things off your head and beat them to expensive dust with a dumbbell out of sheer rage. You might think that this isn't a problem if you just walk in a straight line. The next time you run, notice how often you turn your head to look around. Run through an urban area with streets and intersections. Track how often you turn your head to look for traffic. You'd be amazed at how many times you'll find this thing tying up in a mile of running. You'll spend most of your time with your hands over your ears, putting the earbuds back in and trying to center the cord around your neck. It's difficult to focus on form, breathing, and stride length when your hands are constantly on the sides of your head. I suppose you could put petroleum jelly on your neck to smooth it out! The clip itself is clamped into the cable. It does not rotate freely around the cable. So if you don't center the clip perfectly, or if your shirt is loose enough to slip over your shoulders when you move, the clip will always be out of place. Bose, not everyone runs in a sports bra or tight shirt that doesn't wobble or move. The clip is as useless as the headphones. I bought these horrible things in November so it's too late to return them. I would throw them away if they didn't cost me β¬200. I yanked her off my head and almost threw her in a ditch, running more times than I can count. It just doesn't matter how good they sound if they're functionally useless. The slim cable of the original SoundSport is fine. my boyfriend loves her This sticky, textured cable makes the SoundSport Pulse a real bane. For the extra $50 you're only buying yourself a headache. Do yourself a favor and buy literally anything but these headphones and you'll be much happier with your purchase. Or pass them on to your competitors! You'll be so engrossed in tinkering with these things at the racetrack that you can easily bypass them. Although you can't put PR, you will laugh so hard at their misfortune.
