The lighting in these fans is very bright, most of the time they run at 50% brightness, so they are not too annoying. The lighting control software isn't the most intuitive, but overall it's pretty good and gives you plenty of control, allowing everyone to do as they please. The fans aren't the quietest, but they're not the loudest either. I built a friend's computer with NZXT AER RGB fans, and while daisy chaining is good on them, I think they're better in every other way. I'm deducting a star for not having a daisy chain as it's very useful in a number of ways, you have fewer cables behind the case and you don't use as many RGB headers on your controller. If you want 6 fans, you need 6 headers for PWM control and 6 more for RGB control, that's a lot of cables, and the controller (because it has to have more connectors) takes up more space in your case. I will say if you are choosing between them or AER I would use them almost every time unless you have a very small body with no room for cable management or you already have something else that uses an NZXT camera. I compare them to AER because they are the most similar products I have come across.
