Review on Universal Easy Intake Adapter for Automotive EVAP Smoke Leak Detector - AUTOAND Inflatable Bag with Pressure Leak Tester Pipe by Sam Dhungana

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Heavy duty bladder holds air to exhaust

I recently received a very basic smoke testing machine that didn't have any of these chambers. I have a larger air intake on my car so I couldn't use the adapter that came with it. This bubble is simple but works well. You simply inflate it until it completely blocks the suction and connect the smoke machine to the pipe coming out of the chamber. Smoke flows freely through the center of the chamber, allowing you to check for leaks. Also good for testing exhaust systems by inserting it into the exhaust pipe. To free yourself, simply loosen the thumbscrew, the chamber shrinks and you pull it out. The rubber material used for the chamber, pump and hoses appears to be of good quality and should not tear easily. The metal used for the vent valve and on the tank also seems to be of good quality and I've fully inflated the tank for over 24 hours and it hasn't lost any pressure at all. I'm happy with this little device and it's a much nicer option than the cone adapter that comes with lower end smoke alarms.

Pros
  • Inflatable bladder compatible with all EVAP systems The Smoke Leak Tester is a quick and easy way to check your vehicle's intake and exhaust systems.
