They are of good quality and protect hands from extreme temperatures. The guide does not recommend the use of automatic ice dispensers and "overflowing" dishwashers. and also, I think, metal spoons, because it seems hitting too hard can break the inner lining of the jar and trap water in the wall of the jar. A little annoying as my teens don't want to wash their hands to "clean" ice cubes into a drinking glass. We use our quick ice dispenser several times a day and constantly stir our drinks with metal spoons. and our dishwasher is usually pretty full too lol. Let's see how long these glasses last!
