As a long time Tivo fan (I had a Sony) I'm sorry to say that Tivo has lost its way. Recording. The commercial transition screen switches the TV to 3D, but the content does not. The guide is now littered with ads (one per channel guide screen) from streaming channels with junk on them. To make matters worse, the ads preceding the video are offensive and not suitable for children. The advertising advertises streaming channels with topics that are not suitable for children. All of this cannot be denied. Worse, ads regularly reload or freeze the box, sometimes losing the show you were trying to watch. If it's user configurable, fine, but it's optional and Tivo Support won't remove it. Good company but now they are lost can no longer recommend them.
