Worth the money

I bought this through my wife's Revain account but felt the need to leave a review. User Interface: The user interface is simplified but easy to understand. Most buttons on the receiver perform simple functions, and additional functions can be accessed by pressing and holding the buttons. The volume button is pressed to access the settings. The backlight of the display is sufficient. This device looks attractive. Bluetooth performance: This device pairs easily with my iPhone. It sounds great on Pandora streaming. Bluetooth alone is worth the money I paid for it. There is no other device at the same price that offers all these features. Radio properties: The radio is sensitive, picks up stations that are far away without any problems and sounds quite good. The buttons are small and clustered on the left side of the device, but they're somehow easy to select with a touch. The manual setting is not intuitive, but easy to understand after reading the instructions. I saved my favorite radio stations and quickly forgot about the difficulties of tuning. MP3 Performance: The unit features SD card outputs, USB flash drive outputs and an AUX input, providing a wide range of MP3 playback options. It charges my iPhone but does not provide access to my phone's internal storage. There is no problem playing the many files I have downloaded to my home computer by simply dragging and dropping files onto SD or USB sticks. Also, the display reads an MP3 song, which is great. Overall Impression: Considering the excellent price, this is an excellent radio despite a few flaws. Time will tell if it's durable enough to withstand heavy use, but the lack of moving parts should help. My truck has seen a lot of broken dirt roads, it has a 24v system and it is the only radio at this price that runs on 24v. Few listen to CDs these days and prefer MP3 players, so I don't see the point in paying more for all the excess moving parts. I'm going to buy an extra SD card soon so I can always have my MP3s in the car. Bluetooth gives me access to unlimited internet content and streaming when I get bored with my MP3 library.
