Review on Metabo HPT SV12SG Sheet Sander: Achieve Smooth and Precise Sanding Results! by Dang Esq

Metabo is used to mark high tech products made in Germany. I have a Metabo 6" SXE 450 Duo sander and it's the best sander I've ever had. The "Metabo" SV 12SG 4 1/2" random orbit sander is a competitor. It is supplied by the Japanese company Koki Holdings and made in China. The grinder pad rests on a thin aluminum square that does not rest on the grinder frame. The base plate of the grinder will flex when the grinder is first dropped. The rubber backing pad is covered with a layer of rubber that comes off when the first sticky sandpaper is removed. Engine smoothness is average at best. Not worthy of the Metabo nameplate.
