The assembly is not easy!
Definitely not for 4-5 year olds. My little ones get frustrated all the time when they can't get the pieces to stay where they don't want them. I even struggled to build myself. For example, the backgrounds for each room don't hold up well at all and keep falling off. I think there are too many parts to put together and a lot of them break too easily. After I bought it for my daughter's birthday, some parts were already broken and the headlights didn't work. So a new one was sent but again a few parts were broken and the light only lasted 3 days and hasn't worked since. My kids almost never play with it. They both tried for about a week but eventually gave up.
