Review on Regetek Double Touchscreen Bluetooth Control by Antoine Cash

Revainrating 4 out of 5

AMAZING FOR THE PRICE!

I don't know what causes hate, so uncharacteristically I'll add a Revain review. Let's start with the fact that it costs $70. It's not packed with features, but I don't care about the price. The manual doesn't do the product any favors, but then again. I wasn't interested. Bought this for my 1999 Volvo and the main thing I needed was to be able to stream music to the speakers via bluetooth. The gracious thing is that the rear camera add-on works fine and the deck plays MP4 videos while the car is in motion. Installed with Metro wiring harness. All the colors matched perfectly and the music started playing within minutes. THE PINK WIRE IS INDICATED + POSITIVE INPUT INDICATING THAT THE VEHICLE IS IN REVERSE. THIS ALLOWS THE DECK TO "SEE" THE CAMERA AND AUTOMATICALLY SWITCH TO THE CAMERA SIGNAL. You could use a positive connected toggle switch, but I chose to connect it to the reverse light wire. I also connected a reversing camera to the reversing light wire. With this connection, when you put the reverse gear and the reversing lights come on, the pink wire is connected to the main unit and the reversing camera at the same time. Works flawlessly. You can connect the pink wire and rear camera to the plus switch when you want to be on the road and look back. My phone didn't pair with the main unit right away, but after turning it off and on a few times, it showed up on my Bluetooth devices and connected with no issues. Since then it hasn't been a problem. You can stream music and make phone calls. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE INFORMATION ABOUT SONGS ON THE DECK SCREEN. Again. 70 dollars. It's amazing for the price. I inserted a USB with an mp4 movie into the USB port and the movie played immediately. Boom. That happened. My discount is 1 star. NO MOUNTING CLAMPS. Zero. Nothing. I don't mind fiddling around so I was able to use self tapping screws and set the deck onto the mounting rails from the previous deck build. Silicone along the railing and it stayed in place perfectly. It's a cute setup with awesome cosmetics. I even tilted the deck for a better view. Speaking of. The screen video is really great for $70. Really cool. The screen is also decently responsive to touch. Be ready to start installing. I didn't use a trim kit or hardware installation and I'm happy. If you just want to insert a deck, you need some kind of mounting product on that deck. It comes with nothing. Another catch is that the deck is semi-deep. So far I have had no problem recommending this product. I hope this review will save you some time or headache. :)
