I have some industrial NVME SSDs that I want to use as external drives. I bought the first of these cases for the looks and features of the fan. After installing the first SSD module, I saw the access light blink once, but Windows never found the module. I've tried several others, same result. Rather than just sending it back straight away, I had the Revain CS rep send out a replacement which arrived in 8 days (if I had backordered it would have arrived in 2). Same thing, so I'm just assuming this doesn't work at all with my SSD. They work great in another case I bought that also has a JMS583 chip. One more point: there is a thermistor to control the fan that has not come in contact with any part of my SSD in any way. So unless it's glowing red, I don't think the fan ever worked.
