I used this to replace a 5-blade fan in my living room. I was concerned that it might not move as much air because it only has 3 blades, but I was very wrong. The lowest setting here is about the middle setting on my old fan, and the highest setting is amazing for the amount of air moved. If you want the most powerful fan then this is a must have. This fan has several disadvantages, the main one being the exorbitant price. My old fan cost me about $150, but it costs 3-4 times as much. Yes, it's more powerful with much better build quality, but the price increase is hard to justify. Another downside is that the light, while decent, isn't bright enough to illuminate a room. My old fan offered 4 bulbs, which was enough to light up the whole room, but this light is definitely dimmer.
