Bought two of these and calibrated them in the same pot of boiling water. Both read 212 when cooked, but one reads 73 at ambient and the other reads 67 next to it. The actual temperature was 70. A 3 degree difference is not ideal for a brewer. Also, they're pretty flimsy and I expect they'll break soon, maybe with the cooker's lid. - EDIT - after a few games they are not even remotely accurate. After being set to a digitally confirmed boiling point, they are placed in a chilled wort where both readings read 78 degrees, digitally (and by touch) saying 140 degrees. COMPLETE GARBAGE - SELECTED BEFORE it cost me a beer load.
